In the construction industry, the matter of occupational safety becomes specifically important, as this field is associated with higher production risks, a high level of physical exertion, the necessity of strict compliance with technological standards, etc. Article 209 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation states that an employer must prevent the impact of harmful and hazardous factors and ensure safe working conditions for employees. These requirements are caused by the development of managerial and organizational measures that rely on basic standards. Primarily, these are regular briefings, workplace certification, medical examinations, preventive measures, and the implementation of the production control system. The key areas of occupational safety indices to improve the safety system have been discussed. Sociological assessment by enterprise employees is particularly significant, as their opinions reflect the practical effectiveness of the implemented measures. In the construction industry, where work is associated with high physical exertion, under adverse factors of the working environment, compliance with sanitary and hygienic requirements, which play a key role in maintaining operability and reducing fatigue, is extremely significant. The matters discussed regarding taking the initiative to improve working conditions illustrate an interesting distribution of views on responsibility. Based on the research, it can be concluded that employees' active attitude plays a significant role in occupational safety. Employees realize that following instructions, providing suggestions to improve working conditions, and other actions directly affect their health and performance. Often, employees do not wait for the administration to take measures but are ready to contribute to safety.
