The study is dedicated to the detection and description of the interconnection of professional situational hazards with emotional states and occupational efficiency of rotational workers of an oil and gas exploratory company in the Orenburg region. A scientific expedition to one of the sites of the oil and gas exploratory company was organized during a 30-day rotational period, in which 58 employees participated (drilling rig operators (drillers), driller assistants, engineering and technical workers, and maintenance specialists). The research method is a survey to assess professional situational hazards and professional efficiency parameters. The functional states of workers were diagnosed using instrumental methods and surveys on a daily basis during the entire rotational period. The statistical analysis was carried out using two-stage cluster, one-dimensional, and multidimensional dispersion analyses using the SPSS Statistics 26.00 software package.
As a result of the study, it has been established that workers with lower hazard perception scores feature a more favorable functional state while rating their safety knowledge lower, feeling less safe at the workplace, and more often expressing no desire to go to work. These employees require additional training involving interactive methods to increase their awareness of hazards of production situations and their consequences, as well as intensifying control over compliance with safety regulations and incentives for strict adherence to the rules. The group with higher scores of hazard perception features a more adverse functional state, while their subjective assessment of work efficiency is higher. It has been established that younger employees feature lower situational hazard scores. Among the employees with a lower situational hazard score, engineering and technical workers and maintenance specialists prevail, whereas drilling rig operators (drillers) and driller assistants more often feature a higher score of situational hazards.
