Based on of the analysis of statistical data on injury rate, the main causes of injuries at the coal industry enterprises are identified. One of them is the human factor, which is due to low level of training of the employees of various levels on the issues of occupational safety, organization of safe mining at the enterprises of industry. The low level is noted with regard to conducting employees training on safe working methods and techniques, as well as occupational safety instructions, which did not meet becoming more and more stringent requirements in connection with the improvement and implementation of the up-to date mining technology, modern high-performance mining equipment, means for ensuring safety, personal and collective protection equipment.
The new modern approach is proposed concerning digital continuous training of the employees in occupational and industrial safety, implementation of control related to the employees competence, which allows for several times to reduce the number of injuries, including fatalities, as well as the risks of occupational diseases.
