Annotation:

ISO 45001:2018(E) standard «Occupational health and safety management systems. Requirements with guidance for use» includes the organization obligations on ensuring safe working conditions and health protection of the employees. Accordingly, the issue becomes relevant concerning the methodological content of the development and implementation of the occupational health and safety management systems in the organization based on the process approach.

The article shows the relevance and possibility of using process approach in the development and implementation of  health and safety management system in the organizations and industrial enterprises of various branches of industries on the basis of ISO 45001:2018(E) standard, based on the system approach using the well-known PDCA principle.

The methodological justification of the process approach to the design of health and safety management system in the organization is given, and the basic issues of its applicability are considered. Practice-oriented model for creating and implementing the health and safety management system is developed based on the process approach, SADT technology and IDEF0 functional modeling methodology.

Graphic models are developed related to the first-level process maps and the general map of the occupational health and safety management process.

Presented methodology makes it possible to achieve the positive effect in terms of control of the development and implementation of the management system, focusing on the effectiveness, transparency of activities, cost minimization and time reduction concerning the implementation of the occupational health and safety management system.
