Annotation:

Hydraulic drive is widely used in modern process equipment for various functional purposes. One of the main factors affecting occupational safety is the risk of accidents associated with the destruction of pipelines. Vibrations and noise occurring in the pipes can indicate hidden defects, corrosion, or improper operation. Geometrical parameters of metal pipelines determine a cylinder of limited length as a source of sound energy emission. The study considers acoustic models of noise sources that allow for theoretical calculations of spectral sound pressure levels of the above-mentioned sources and the general noise-caused discomfort already at the design stage and proposes measures to reduce it. Reducing the noise of hydraulic systems is a prioritized problem in terms of occupational safety and the improvement of comfort of process equipment operators. The acoustic models and analysis methods proposed help to make significant progress in solving the problem and facilitate the development of quieter and more efficient machines.
