Annotation:

Successfully developing companies operating in various sectors use modern informational and digital technologies to improve production systems, ensuring not only the high quality of manufactured products but also facilitating sustainable development and improving occupational and industrial safety indices. The study covers the practices of Russia’s largest gas and petrochemical company, Sibur Holding PJSC, engaged in the production of rubbers and polymers, as well as in scientific and technical activities for industrial digitalization and the improvement of occupational safety and the operation of hazardous production facilities. The perspectives on the use of digital technologies for occupational safety have been demonstrated. Methods and tools for developing standard operating procedures are provided to ensure product quality, improve occupational safety, reduce professional risk, and mitigate adverse environmental impacts and the risk of emergencies that cause the shutdown of process equipment. These procedures transform safety requirements into safety actions, facilitate training to acquire productive and safe work skills, support employees’ adaptation to the production system, and improve technologists' and occupational and industrial safety experts’ control of process quality and safety. 
The specified methods and results of developing standard operating procedures and practices for digitalization in terms of occupational safety can be helpful to occupational and industrial safety experts.
